Essential oils are not a new solution. In fact, these oils have been used for  thousands of years, long before modern medicines. Their strength and effectiveness lie in their potency. A single drop of essential oil can work wonders. The oil is derived from a process known as distillation where the oil and water-based compounds of the plant are separated by steaming.
