By now you’ve probably heard all the amazing benefits of drinking detox water. And now you want to try it for yourself. We’re super excited for you, so we decided to share our favorite detox water recipes with you. You’re welcome :-).
How to make detox water
Before we dive into the recipes here are a few pointers to bear in mind.
- It’s a good idea to make the detox water at least 2-4 hours before you’re ready to drink it. That way you give it time to absorb the flavor of the ingredients you add. The most common practice is to make it overnight for drinking the next day.
- Make a jar/bottle at a time then consume it throughout the day. This will ensure that you get your required daily intake of water, but you’ll have fun doing it.
- You should aim to finish the bottle/jar of water within 24 hours as detox water that sits for too long will begin to taste funny as the fruits and other ingredients deteriorate.
- You can refill the pitcher with water once or twice without the ingredients losing flavor.
- Exact measurements are not necessary. It’s perfectly fine to estimate.
- All the recipes below are for a 64 oz (2-quart) pitcher.
- Add the ingredients to the pitcher first then add water and refrigerate for a minimum of 4 hours.
